Landscaping Projects
Turfgrass Artificial Grass has been installed for decorative purposes at a number of different projects, such as central reservations and roundabouts, either directly or through its distributors, who cover the whole country. Last year, Turfgrass manufactured more than 800,000 square metres of artificial grass for decorative use in gardens and other public spaces.
The city of Murcia chose Turfgrass Artificial Grass for the decoration of 30,000 square metres of central reservation and roundabouts near the Condomina New Shopping Centre.
Other municipalities, such as Cocentaina in Alicante, Vall d’Alba in Castellón and Torrequebrada in Murcia, have also covered new roundabouts with artificial grass. Valencia Polytechnic University decorates its spaces with Turfgrass Artificial Grass.
The Alcalá de Guadaira tram service, which consists of 3 trams and 12 kilometres of track, has completed its first and second stages with the installation of Turfgrass Artificial Grass as a decorative finish. The third stretch will soon be done, adding 12,000 square metres of grass to the project.
The Volvo Ocean Race decorated its recreational areas with Turfgrass Artificial Grass during the last event in 2009 in Alicante.
Turfgrass manufactured and installed around 24,000 square metres of artificial grass at the Alcañiz speed circuit, in collaboration with Acciona’s technical department.
Since last April, work has been continuing on the installation of 40,000 square metres of Turfgrass Artificial Grass at the new works being carried out on Madrid’s Isabel II Canal.
Turfgrass has designed and woven special artificial grass for this project. The works have been overseen by Acciona.
One of the main reasons why Turfgrass was chosen to manufacture this particular artificial grass was because of the company’s special POLYURETHANE finish, which does not wear or leave residues that can affect water passing through.
